Annual Rally at Burghley House Stamford 21st - 23rd June 2019 (Page 1 of 3)
To page 2 of 3
Burghley House was once again played host the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Clubs Annual Rally of 2019. For the second year the 20-49 Motor Club with Stamford being its hub were in attendance on Sunday. The Annual Rally is one of the biggest gatherings of Roll-Royce’s in the world. This year will become a memorable one for Tom Horner of the North Eastern Section. He became the owner of the Late Michael Forrest’s 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom 1 Chassis number 37LC. The Phantom 1 was delivered to James Radley, a Rolls-Royce agent in Paris, and purchased by S.A. (Son Altesse His Highness) Mohamed Sultan Bey, who became King Mohamed V of Morocco in 1932. The coachwork was fitted by Galle' with first owner keeping the car at his Paris residence for several years. A lot of detailed work has gone into the restoration to date, but there is still a considerably more to do. Hopefully we will see the completed project at the annual rally in the not too distant future. See the pictures below of the proud new owner of 37LC with the late Michael Forrests family.
