This year’s Annual Rally at Burghley House marked a mile stone in the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Clubs history, this being its Diamond Jubilee. This year the Annual played host to the Round Britain Tour participants celebrating the 110th Anniversary of AX 201, the car that give Rolls-Royce its reputation for being the best car in the world. There were approximately 1000 cars attending the rally, probably one of the biggest gatherings in the world. The Annual Rally provides club members with a venue to meet up, browse the trade stands, attend the seminars and also see if there are any bargains in the Members Spares. This year the 20-49 Motor Club of Stamford provided an eclectic collection of veteran, vintage and classic cars. There was also a fly past of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Members were entertained by six piece jazz band and The Yarwell and Nassington Britannia Brass Band, and for once the weather was very good, with only the odd shower.
