Ramside Hall Co Durham 'Drive It Day' 22nd April 2012
The North Eastern Section of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club got together with the Jaguars Drivers Club Area 11 on the 22nd April for a “Drive it Day”. We all met up at Ramside Hall just outside Durham City, where we had a nice cuppa before setting off into the abyss. The route was prepare by our Chairman Derek with some parties going off one way and the remainder driving the route in the opposite direction. Following Derek’s instructions we set off heading west towards Consett via very scenic country lanes. After driving round the north side of Derwent Reservoir we headed south across Muggleswick Common, ending up at Stanhope for mid journey refreshments. From there we set off east, navigating our way through Tow Law, Brancepeth, across the A1 and back to Ramside Hall where we all had Sunday lunch. Unfortunately as usual the heavens opened during the drive hence few pictures of the day, apart from that everybody had a good day and we look forward to the next “Drive It Day”.
